01, POWER – Brilliant, green orbs that were on fire; pink, cherry blossom locks dancing wildly; eyebrows drawn down into a fierce scowl… it was in her moment of glory, that Naruto realized just how much Sakura had grown, no longer did she need protection and nor did she want to be protected. This time, Naruto watched her back and with a smile, as blood trailed from the corner of his mouth and down his chin, he marveled at her power.

02, HURT – In a maelstrom that had completely nothing to do with the weather, Naruto realized just how much Sasuke had hurt Sakura, and vowed that he would never make the same mistake. Never did he want to see the streams of tears run down her face, and nor did he want to hear the strained cries escape her in the moments she thought she was alone, and safe to let her pain show.

03, LIFE FORCE – From her hands to her elbows, Sakura was stained in a sticky, red, warm substance that Naruto knew very well to be blood. But it wasn’t her blood that she was covered in, it was his. Though he wasn’t quite sure how he had come to be like this – cold, near lifeless, with a gaping hole in his chest – Naruto was only focused on the warm sensation of her chakra, his life force, slowly mending him back together, as she whispered a plea into the darkness, “please, Naruto, don’t leave me.”

04, RAIN – One of Naruto’s favorite memories of Sakura, out of the many that he had, was when he watched her smile and laugh and dance in the rain after a mission where they had seen and done many wrongs; as if she were cleansing herself of the filth, although she was never without it, it was something that he couldn't protect her from.

05, PERVERT – Naruto had never considered himself to be a pervert, and he had never even thought he might have been even slightly influenced by his former teachers. No, he wasn’t a pervert; he merely appreciated the artistic form that of a female. And Sakura just so happened to be his Mona Lisa… for her, he would risk a near death experience.

06, RAMEN – He was completely aware of the fact that not everyone could take a diet of ramen for breakfast, lunch and dinner; Sakura had no idea how much Naruto loved it when she would sit and talk with him, while stomaching down a bowl of miso ramen that he would most often than not finish off for her, despite having just had it two hours ago.

07, ANGER – Naruto would be completely stupid not to be terrified of Sakura when she was mad; but he couldn’t help but love it, too. Her eyes would flare up, her cheeks would have a red tint to them and even though she was shouting obscenities at him, she still sounded lovely. Anger was a powerful emotion, with a much greater force, but it all depended on what fueled it, for Naruto to like it.

08, UGLY – Naruto could never see how Sai came up with the nickname, “ugly,” for Sakura. In his eyes, Sakura was the most beautiful thing on this planet and not even the stars could stand next to her; she was his sky, she was his earth, and she was his heaven.

09, SCARED – There were not many occasions in which Naruto was scared, or allowed himself to actually realize that he was, but one of the most frightening situation he had ever experienced was when he had witnessed the Sakura fall – not graceful, or gently at all, like a cherry blossom floating to the ground; but like a rock, falling ever so fast and landing with a sickening thud on the ground.

10, DREAM – Naruto had been sure that it was a dream, when Sakura confessed her feelings for him on the rare chance she said yes to his prompt of a ‘date’, amongst tears and in a nervous tone, “I’ve been so utterly and completely stupid,” she had cried, “to not realize that I have everything and more in front of me…” a choked sob, “I – I love you, Naruto! And, and I know I’m horrible-“ she didn’t need to say anything more, before he silenced her with a tender, soft kiss.

This was rather spontaneous! And completely new, for me. I’m at my sisters on her laptop, and had nothing better to do… so I thought, “why not!” Hopefully I didn’t fail as bad as I think I did. If anyone, even if it’s only one person, actually liked it… then please, do tell me! I’ll be overexcited and I’ll perhaps post more upon, perhaps even a real one-shot!
